FORT WORTH -- Kids Who Care, a nonprofit international theater organization based in Fort Worth, will hold its annual Cookin’ for Kids benefit event on Sunday, March 4 at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, a new location this year.To help kick-off the event, Chef Jon Bonnell shared a couple of recipes with NBC 5 that can be found by clicking here.Celebrating its 10th year, Cookin’ for Kids is a unique evening of culinary adventure and good-natured fun with a Celebrity/Chef Cook-Off, tasting stations from local eateries and coffeehouses, auctions, raffle drawings and door prizes. Musical entertainment will be provided by Kids Who Care’s Resident Company.
This year’s chairwoman is Kris Davis Leitzman. Joseph Vincelli and Nancy Payton, originators of the Cookin’ for Kids event 10 years ago, will serve as honorary chairs.Cookin’ for Kids begins with a VIP party at 4:30 p.m., and doors open for the main event at 5 p.m. It will be held at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, located at 1300 Gendy St. Fort Worth, TX, 76107 in the heart of the Fort Worth Cultural District.
