Nicollette Sheridan Leaves 'Desperate Housewives!'
Last night's "Desperate Housewives" saw the departure of Nicollette Sheridan when her character, Edie, packed up and abruptly left Wisteria Lane after a confrontation with all four of the show's leading ladies. but is primetime's favorite neighborhood troublemaker gone for good?"Yes, Edie's gone," show creator Marc Cherry tells the Associated Press. He cryptically added: "She won't be back for a few years."Previously, it was announced that the series will come to an end in 2011.
Some speculate that the series could flash-forward ala "Lost," which would bring Edie back sooner rather than later."I only address one rumor at a time," Cherry replied. With the two-hour season finale next Sunday, he won't say if Sheridan will remain part of the show she started four years ago. "We'll have to wait until next season and see," Cherry teased. "What the H" Editorial:I was pretty surprised when she sped off in her convertible last night. She’s slept with just about everyone’s husband, so what else is there for her to do? (or should I say WHO else?)She’s a good villain though.
