Melissa Evans, marketing executive of Greentravelhub.com, said the Web site has one goal.

"Changing the image of green travel," Evans said. "We're changing it from something that's been extreme to something anybody can achieve."

Evans and her four co-workers said they are committed to practicing green living in their small Orlando office and now they would like to make an even bigger impact.

"If you picture a billion people climbing on to planes and driving around the cities, it's really easy to see that travel does cause a lot of pollution," Evans said.

The Web site provides the green rankings of hotels, provides a directory of hybrid rent-a-car locations and allows air travelers to buy carbon offsets to make up for greenhouse gas spewing into the atmosphere.

The company said saving the planet is the main goal of green travel and it is also a way to make a feel-good-vacation feel just a little bit better.
