PLANO, Texas -- It's not always possible to exercise and eat right to fuel your busy days, so life coaches recommend rearranging your schedule to perk up your life. Jennifer Wagner (pictured) has done just that, and is reaping the benefits. Lunchtime for her no longer means staying at the office, but rather working out or running errands."It's nice to get out and breathe a little bit," she said.
It gives Wagner a chance to give her brain a rest from the projects and workload she faces on a daily basis, while still having enough time to eat lunch. The change is just one of the many Wagner is making to boost her energy at the advice of a life coach."It's really given me a little more time management ... I have more time to myself," she said.Life coach Elizabeth Marshall recommends these additional lifestyle changes to boost energy and clear your mind:Prioritize the day's to-do list in the morning. Check e-mail and phone messages at certain times of the day. Take five-minute breaks every hour-and-a-half to two hours. Eat a snack or meal every few hours and keep something in the car for when you get stuck in traffic. Marshall said the human brain uses one fourth of the body's energy. "Mentally, you can be just as exhausted as if you spent eight hours of physical labor," she said.By eliminating stress, you can help to boost energy, Marshall said."I think relieving stress in certain areas ... has helped open up new avenues in all circles," Wagner said.Doctors also suggest taking a multivitamin in the morning in order to benefit from the nutritional boost all day long. For even more tips to boost your energy and relieve stress, click on the link below.
