Melissa Newton is glad to be back in Texas after recently working at KOCO in Oklahoma City as a reporter.She got her start at KTXS in Abilene, TX after graduating from Texas Tech with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Melissa has won awards for spot news, beat reporting, and editing from the Texas Association of Broadcasters.When she is not watching Texas Tech football, Melissa likes to read, write, paint and eat Mexican food. She also attends The Village Church in Flower Mound.
