Officials at the University of Texas at Arlington reported that two stolen computers contained students' Social Security numbers, along with grades and email addresses.

Someone took the computers in September from a faculty member's home, officials said.

The school is notifying 2,500 current and former computer sciences and engineering students.

Officials are advising them to keep an eye on their credit reports.
