Officials: Carbon Monoxide Poisons Family

DALLAS -- A family of five from Pleasant Grove is being treated for carbon monoxide poisoning after the family's father called 911.The father called 911 and told operators that his eyes were irritated and that he felt dizzy.

Rescuers rushed to the man's home on the 1900 block of Utica Drive near Loop 12 and evacuated the man and his family.The father, along with his wife and three sons, were all transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas where they are all listed in serious condition.Officials said the carbon monoxide levels in the home were twice the level that is considered safe.The cause of the carbon monoxide is unknown.
