BEDFORD, Texas -- Thieves in Bedford were able to easily burglarize a home by first breaking into the homeowners' car while they were busy shopping, police said.Police said the thieves broke into a car owned by Randal and Bonnie Cassidy, stole car insurance documents containing the address of the home, and took an automatic garage door opener to gain entry. While the Cassidys shopped at a Hurst Wal-Mart, the thieves burglarized the home, stealing a new flat screen TV and $10,000 worth of jewelry, among other items, police said.
Police said people should never leave inside a vehicle anything that contains a home address. They said people could also cross out addresses.
