UPDATED: 8:08 pm CDT March 25, 2008

A 16-year-old Arlington teen was arrested in Corpus Christi in connection with a fatal shooting, police said.

Police said 17-year-old Jesus Cerecerez was shot and killed just after midnight Saturday in the 2400 block of Springridge Drive near Carter Drive.

Police said an argument at a party may have led to the deadly shooting.

Cerecerez died at the scene. Police said the suspect also shot at a vehicle occupied by two teens.

Investigators said they learned the juvenile might be in the Corpus Christi area so local police followed up on the information and located the suspect. Authorities said the teen will be brought back to Tarrant County next week.

Detectives said the teen will be charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
