DALLAS -- A Southern Methodist University student was injured Friday evening after a sport utility vehicle crashed into a house in the 3400 block of McFarland in University Park.

The woman was sitting in her living room watching TV when the driver of the SUV hit the gas instead of the break, pinning the woman against a wall, NBC 5 reported. She was trapped until rescue crews freed her, police said.

The victim was hospitalized Friday in stable condition.

The driver, who lives in the same four-plex, is not expected to face charges, NBC 5 reported.
