"Daisy" Leaves Hospital Following Attack
Burned Dog Placed In Foster Home
FORT WORTH, Texas -- A Fort Worth dog set ablaze in June by a mentally ill man is now well enough to leave the hospital, according to officials at the Fort Worth Animal Medical Center.
No longer confined to the hospital, "Daisy," shown left in a picture taken last month and, will be staying at a foster home for further rehabilitation, officials said.
Once completely healed, the year-old Shar Pei mix will be placed in a permanent home, according to officials.
According to the Humane Society of North Texas, people from as far away as Denmark, Australia and Israel donated money to help pay for the cost of her treatment.
