Manhunt Ends Peacefully After Prisoner Escapes Police Custody

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The manhunt for David Lee Sprague, who escaped from police custody Thursday afternoon, has ended peacefully.A news release from the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office indicated that Sprague, 29, had escaped the custody of the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office Thursday afternoon and that he was possibly enroute to Kaufman County.At about 2:30 p.m., Sprague was taken into custoy near Wills Point without incident.
It is not yet known what Sprague was originally arrested in connection with.
