J.C. Penney Reports Drop In Sales

PLANO, Texas -- Plano-based J.C. Penney is posting a drop in sales for the month of June as store sales are off 2.5 percent from June 2007.The retailer said the women's division was the top performer in June while home and fine jewelry sales were the weakest.
Stores in the Northeast and central regions were the top U.S. performers.
