MISSOULA, Montana -- Animal control officers in Missoula, Montana, created quite a spectacle when they came up with an impromptu solution to free a black bear stuck in a tree.
Officers needed to tranquilize the animal in order to get him down, but they wanted to break his fall.
The only thing available at the time to buffer the bear's fall was a trampoline.
Once tranquilized, the bear fell from the tree onto the trampoline and then bounced high into the air before landing on the ground.
Officials said the bear was not injured, and will soon be released back into the wild.
