A woman is being praised for her quick action and bravery after a deadly plane crash Thursday morning in north Dallas.

Dr. Bud Thompson's home caught on fire when the plane crashed. His son, Sanders Thompson, is calling his dad's caretaker a hero.

"She picked up a man who weighs almost as much as she does, put him down on the grass and saved his life," he said.

"It almost knocked me out … then I went to get Dr. Thompson, who I'd been taking care of for four years," Elnora Denmark said while choking back tears.

Both Denmark and Thompson are OK.
