FORT WORTH, Texas -- For the past 20 years, Red Wood Lumber has enjoyed a steady stream of customers ... due in part to its owner, former Dallas Cowboy Lee Roy Jordan.A fire early Monday nearly destroyed Jordan's business, the Red Wood Lumber Co. The lumber yard is located south of Love Field Airport in Dallas.

Firefighters spent hours putting out the fire, and said they will likely spend the better part of the day on the scene. Officials said the first units arriving on the scene were greeted with a massive wall of fire.Jordan didn't want to talk on camera but did tell NBC 5's Erin Allan that he is saddened by the loss of his business and the interruption it may cost his customers.Dallas Fire Department Capt. Jesse Garcia said the tremendous amount of lumber in the warehouse made for a very high heat that intensified the fire.Firefighters are expected to spend most of Monday at the scene investigating the cause of the fire.
