ROWLETT, Texas -- Rowlett police have released dramatic video of a December chase that ended in gunfire.Police said a driver fired several shots at a police officer when the officer tried to pull him over for waving a gun out the window. The officer fired back."You can never let your guard down. You always have to be prepared for these kinds of incidents," Lt. Dean Poos said.
The confrontation was caught on dash cam video.The suspect was shot in the arm."Even in small, suburban -- in relatively small and quiet peaceful communities -- these kinds of incidents can happen in a moment's notice," Poos said.The suspect is charged with attempted murder.
