FORT WORTH, Texas -- Cingular Wireless suffered an outage to its phone network Tuesday morning, local providers of the service said.

The company said the problem was caused by phone signals not reaching the company's database. Not all customers were affected, Cingular Wireless said.

Reported symptoms included users calling and getting no connection, an announcement stating phone service was unavailable, or a busy signal.

The problem was resolved by late Tuesday morning.
