Police: Teen’s MySpace Page May Have Led Stranger To Doorstep

POSTED: 12:04 am CDT September 13, 2006

Police said on Tuesday they were concerned that information posted online could have led a man to try to lure a teenage girl out of her Grapevine apartment Sunday morning.

Investigators believe the man is at least 40 years old and may have seen the girl’s photos on her myspace.com page.

The online site not only shows the girl in several poses, but also informs readers that she lives in Grapevine.

The suspect showed up at the teen’s home and tried to get her to take a walk with him, police said. The girl refused and then the two snapped photos of each other with their camera phones, NBC 5 reported.

The suspect drove a large, white, flatbed truck with the word ACME on the driver's side door.

Investigators said they urge anyone that recognizes the man to contact police.
