UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas -- President George W. Bush will return to his home state for one final campaign address before Tuesday's election.Bush will attend a rally at Southern Methodist University Monday night before heading to his ranch in Crawford, Texas, where he is expected to vote Tuesday.
The president is scheduled to arrive in Dallas at about 10 p.m. after a 19-hour day of campaigning in six swing states. Bush is expected to address an invitation-only crowd at SMU's Moody Coliseum from about 10-10:30 p.m.
Students at SMU started lining up outside the coliseum starting at about 1 p.m. Monday."I think it's a great, great opportunity," one unnamed student said. "It's a great honor for the school. I'm really proud to go here and actually have Bush on my campus, and I get to go see him."Neither Bush nor Democrat opponent Sen. John Kerry dedicated significant time to campaigning in Texas because the state and its electoral votes appear to be behind the incumbent.
