One of the two southbound service lanes of the Dallas North Tollway between Eldorado Parkway and Main Street has been reopened after a water main break closed both lanes Tuesday morning.

At about 9 a.m. Tuesday, a utility contractor was boring under the road when he hit a water main about 12 to 16 inches in diameter.

The water main break damaged one of the lanes and officials said it will take several days to repair the damage.

Officials ask that drivers use caution when passing through the area.
